Pastor Rodney Thrift, of Destination Church in Blackshear, offered the invocation at the regular county commission meeting September 3. Pastor Thrift was presented with a certificate of appreciation by fourth district commissioner David Lowman. Thrift also informed those present about DC Downtown, an outreach ministry of the church. DC Downtown provides meals for up to 300 families per week in the three-county area of Pierce, Ware and Brantley.
