Teachers of the Year from each school in the district were recognized at the board of education meeting Monday, Sept. 9. Teachers recognized included (from l-r) Chelsie Carter, Blackshear Elementary, Hayle Carter, Midway Elementary, Sherri Cornelius, Patterson Elementary, Darlene Hyers, Pierce County Middle School and Elizabeth Slusher, Pierce County High School and system teacher of the year.
