“A.J.” Dixon, retired bus driver and community volunteer, passed away early Tuesday morning, September 3, 2024, at his daughter’s residence in St. Augustine, FL. He was 90.
Dixon was retired as a school bus driver from the Pierce County Board of Education. He and his late wife, Valeria, were also long-time volunteers at the Pierce County Nursing Home (now Harborview- Pierce County). He was a member of the Blackshear Masonic Lodge #270 as well as the Eastern Star #548. Dixon also enjoyed farming.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 7, from the Pearson-Dial Funeral Home Chapel. For a full obituary, please see page 3.
