Bingo breakfast brings seniors smiles

Bingo breakfast brings seniors smiles

Hospice Satilla, in collaboration with the Pierce County Recreation Department, hosted a breakfast and bingo event for community seniors. Shown l-r Bonnie Bickerstaff of the recreation department, Stacey Thrift of Hospice Satilla, Rec. Director Maureen Brown and volunteer Dr. Brittany Lowder were on hand to help make sure the event ran smoothly. The event is promoted as a great way to bring together different organizations and provide a fun and engaging activity for seniors, promoting social interaction and community involvement. Organizers were pleased with the turnout. Everyone left with a full belly and took home lots of bingo prizes. The next bingo event will be 10 a.m. Tuesday Sept. 9 at the Recreation Dept Gym.
