WAYCROSS — Mrs. Betty Everett Christmas, 83, died Wednesday, April 26, 2023 at Hospice House Satilla following a short illness. She was a native of Ware County. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Leslie “Johnny” Christmas, Jr.; her parents, Edwin Milner “Bo” Everett, Sr. and Theo Smith Everett; two brothers, Eddie Everett, Jr. Tommy Everett; and a sister, Virginia Harper. She was an active member of Second Baptist Church. She was a business woman and former employee of Okefenokee Technical College. Survivors include a son, Bo Lowry (Lucy) of Bonaire, Ga.; two grandchildren, Falon Lowry (Taylor) of Bonaire, and Shannon Lowry Dobson (Blake) of McDonough, Ga.; a brother, Teddy Everett (Jeanette) of Blackshear; a sister, Linda Fiveash of Waycross; a sister-in-law, Vivian Christmas of Waycross; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. A memorial service was held at 3 p.m. Sunday, April 30 at Music Funeral Home Chapel.
