Joseph McNeil “Neil” Youmans, 60, of Waycross, passed away Wednesday, October 28, 2026, in Pierce County following a sudden illness.
Born in Blackshear August 25, 1966, he lived in Pierce and Ware Counties all his life. He was a 1984 graduate of Pierce County High School. He worked in a mobile home plant for a couple of years before becoming a meat cutter for Harvey’s Grocery Store until they sold to Food Lion where he was still employed. He loved to fish and watch sports especially football and basketball. He was of the Pentecostal faith and attended New Beginnings Holy Ghost Tabernacle in Emerson Park having just preached this past Thursday. On Sundays you would find him taking friends to their church when they couldn’t drive, which helped to expand his love for the Lord and His Word. He knew the Bible and was very adept at quoting Scripture. He was a kind soul and never missed an opportunity to help others when they needed it.
He was a son of the late Sherron McNeil Youmans.
Survivors include his daughter, Sasha Youmans, Blackshear; his mother, Yvonne Blalock Douberly (Ralph), Hortense; four sisters, Lisa (Bruch) Boyd, Tifton, Cynthia (Jay) Winge, Baxley, Dora (Keith) Hayden, Jonesborough, TN and Sherrie
