The Okefenokee Ladies Golf Association (OLGA) recently made a generous donation to Blackshear Elementary School following a Mahjong Tournament hosted by the organization.
Proceeds from the tournament were donated to support the school’s Love Like Lanna L3 Clothing Closet, which provides clothing and other necessities to BES students when needs arise.
BES offcials said the continued support and generous contributions from local organizations like OLGA, giving back to the community and helping the school meet the needs of its students, allows BES to ensure students have access to needed items and lets themknow they are cared for and supported by both their school and community.
“Blackshear Elementary extends its sincere appreciation to the Okefenokee Ladies Golf Association and everyone who participated in the Mahjong Tournament for their generosity and support of BES students,” said Principal Mandy Williams.
