MSH staff celebrates patient’s 100th
SPECIAL PHOTO

A milestone birthday earlier this month became an extra-special occasion at Memorial Satilla Health recently when patient Norma Jean Little of Blackshear, celebrated her 100th birthday while receiving care in the hospital’s inpatient rehabilitation unit. Little became the first patient to celebrate her 100th birthday in the unit, marking a memorable occasion for herself and her care team to celebrate October 16. Knowing Little’s love of butterflies, hospital colleagues organized a celebration inspired by one of her favorite things. They decorated the unit with butterflies, and Little joined in the festivities wearing a butterfly dress. Hospital officials said the celebration reflected the facility’s commitment to providing personalized, compassionate care that recognizes a patient’s unique interests and experiences.
