WAYCROSS — Keith McCorvey, age 67, passed away on October 18, 2026, from complications from dementia.
McCorvey had been sick for quite some time; however, he never lost the will to live. He fought bravely against everything that was thrown at him. When he lost his leg, he amazed his doctors and was walking in less than two months with his prosthetic. Because of his determination and hard work he was called to speak to other amputee’s and an article was written on him as well.
McCorvey was an outstanding example of the quote, “It is not the strength of the body that counts, but the strength of the spirit.”
McCorvey was born on November 5, 1958 in Moultrie, Ga., to Earldene and Betty McCorvey. After moving several times due to his dad’s ministry calling, he made Waycross his home in 1978.
McCorvey was well known for his “never met a stranger, larger than life, never at a loss for words” personality.
Everywhere he went, he left an impression, some good, and some really good, but always, he was remembered.
Throughout his life, he held many jobs but the last 20 years he’d been an independent owner operator of his hauling company, “Who's Your Daddy Hauling” from where he retired in 2018.
He was preceded in death by his only son, Brock McCorvey; his dad, Earldene McCorvey; brother, Tommy McCorvey; nephew, Kodi McCorvey; niece, Kim McCorvey; see OBITS, Page 5A
