NAHUNTA — City of Nahunta officials approved a new millage rate during a called meeting Friday night.
The council, with three present and two listening in via telephone, unanimously approved the new FY26 millage rate of 12.4670 October 16 during the 6 p.m. meeting.
The new mill is .0180 lower than the 12.485 accepted during the Monday, October 5 meeting.
Present for the meeting were Councilman Andrew Altman and Councilwoman Crystal Johns. Listening via phone were Councilwoman Deloise McFadden and Mayor Pro-Tem Bruce Davis.
City Manager Tom Wirth said the change would be minimal to the budget losing just over $700.
“It’s not a whole lot,” said Wirth. “We’ll be fine.”
