Freshly clayed roads halt Amazon deliveries
An amazon delivery driver got his SUV stuck delivering a package to my house after clay was put on the roads about three weeks ago. Photo by Wayne Morgan

On Tuesday I received a call that my Amazon package was just down the road from my house, but stuck.

I walked to it and told the driver that the clay was just put on the road two or three weeks ago and after Brantley County has had over 10 inches of rain, this is not a good road to try to drive down.

He said a tow truck was on the way and I stood and talked with the Amazon driver until a Thomas and Son Wrecker tow truck arrived.

He said at least it was not hot! They were able to hook to it and pull him back out the same way he had tried to go down the road.

If we get more rain, I'm afraid this is going to happening a lot more.
