Penny Lorraine Tillman Griffin, 82, passed away peacefully Monday, October 5, 2026 in Bradenton, FL.
She was born in Jacksonville, Florida, to Eldridge Mordant Tillman Sr. and Eula Kate Davis Tillman. She grew up alongside her three siblings, Conrad Tillman (Ila), Eldridge Tillman Jr. and Elizabeth Tillman Newton (Dean) who preceded her in death.
In addition to her parents and siblings she was also preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, William Ralph “Bill” Griffin.
She leaves behind her daughters, Angela Griffin and Melissa Eastep; her five grandchildren, Krista, Steven, Ivey, Stewart Jr. and Sarah; her four great-grandchildren, Izik, Caleb, Ariel and Savannah; sister at heart, Margaret Joy and the family who loved her beyond measure.
Visitation will be from 1-2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 17, at the Beulah Baptist Church.
Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 17, from the Beulah Baptist Church near Alma.
Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
Music Funeral Home of Waycross is in charge of arrangements.
