CSX Transportation has announced a three-week track maintenance project beginning Monday, October 12 and tentatively ending Friday, Oct. 30.
Three roads are scheduled for closure on or around Monday to begin the crossing upgrades. They are Brunel Street, Sweat/Greenwood streets and 8-Mile Post Road.
Will Cox Road is slated to close on or around Monday, October 26.
Closing will extend between seven to 14 days unless otherwise noted depending on the type of maintenance to be performed. Crossings will not be closed for the duration of the project, CSX said.
With the one way in/out crossings, CSX said it will work to have those accessible within a 24 hours or less if possible.
CSX reminds all closure time frames are estimates and the best approximation it can provide before work begins. Length of the upgrades always are subject to change with or without notice simply because of unforeseen circumstances that may arise once the work begins.
