Ware County and Pierce County High Schools celebrated their 2026 Homecoming last week with a host of activities capped by winning football games Friday, October 2, followed by dances. The schools crowned their queen and princesses at halftime of the games with Bailey Denton *above left) named Queen and McKenzie Tanner named Princess at Ware County. The honor of Queen at Pierce County was shared by (below) Riley Thomas (right) and Daisy Cruz (center) after a tie vote of the student body. Princess was Sarah Kate Echols. Ware County blanked Richmond Academy 30-0 in its game while Pierce County routed Beach 62-20. Game coverage, photos in Sports on Pages 1B-3B.
