Picture the scene with me: The sun is setting in Capernaum, the Sabbath has ended, and suddenly all the doors open, and people begin pouring into the streets all over town.
Some were walking carefully and slowly. Some were being carried or helped along by family or friends, which they couldn’t have done during the Sabbath. All over Capernaum, sick and wounded people were making their way to the house where Jesus was staying.
They’d heard the same stories we’ve relayed over the past few weeks.
