The river bite has been hot again this week and the bass are chewing. Rain is in the current forecast and it will help our local lakes and ponds that desperately need it.

Another angler fished out of Jaycee Landing and reported he absolutely smoked the bass.
Okefenokee Swamp – Bob and his grandson George fished with Captain Bert Deener at the State Park. The bite was slow at first, with only a few fish in the first hour until they changed areas.
Then it picked up, and they landed 15 bowfin before they left. Their biggest bowfin measured 23 inches long and weighed almost four lbs. All of the bowfin inhaled Dura-Spins.
Capt. Deener offers guided fishing trips in the Okefenokee. To book a trip with him, visit his website bertsjigsandthings.com. Latest Swamp level on the east side was 120.04 feet.
