Sansot sworn in as interim DA for Waycross Judicial Circuit

Ian Sansot was sworn in last week as Acting District Attorney of the Waycross Judicial Circuit by Judge J. Kelly Brooks.

“I look forward to this new position of service and will strive to lead the District Attorney’s Office with integrity and fairness,” Sansot said after taking the oath of office in the Friday, September 25 ceremony.

Sansot’s rise to the interim post follows the appointment last month by Gov. Brian Kemp of District Attorney Marilyn Bennett to the position of Superior Court Judge. The Pierce County resident was elected DA in 2022.
