CANEY BAY — Brantley County High School’s Engineering and Information Technology educator Stuart Thrift has been selected for the 2026-27 LEAD CTAE cohort.

Thrift is one of just 20 educators chosen from a statewide pool of Career, Technical and Agricultural Education (CTAE) teachers and school counselors.

The 2026-27 LEAD CTAE Cohort marks Cohort 10 of the competitive leadership development program for CTAE educators.

LEAD CTAE is a leadership development program which helps educators build skills in team building, communication, instruction, business engagement, legislative advocacy and policy, economic development, and priority management.

The program is sponsored by the Georgia Association of Career and Technical Educators, the CTAE Resource Network, and the CTAE Division of the Georgia Department of Education.

Program highlights included six powerful professional development sessions held throughout the academic year and over 60 hours of structured, professional learning.

The program culminates in a graduation ceremony at the annual GACTE Summer Conference being held June 9-11 in Columbus.
