Delta Zeta Chapter of the National Educational Sorority Phi Delta Kappa, Inc. is in partnership with Wacona Elementary School as part of its adopted school initiative for the organization’s service year. Working in collaboration with the school administration, the chapter will support the students, faculty, and staff with a variety of activities and initiatives in the school year. The partnership begins with Red Ribbon Week in October, followed by efforts to support families at Thanksgiving and Christmas. Presenting the partnership certificate are chapter officials Karen Ethridge, first vice president, and Carol Reed, president, flanked by Clent Cannon, assistant principal, and Jeri Ray, principal.
