Pierce County Government announced a pair of closures this week. The Trudie Road Railroad Underpass will be closed to traffic through at least October 12 and the Tiger Field and walking track facilities will be closed until further notice.
The Trudie and Gilman Road construction work is part of a $851,317 local maintenance improvement grant (LMIG). The work will include road and drainage improvements for both areas, but will not include replacement of the underpass.
R.H. Tyson Construction of Blackshear was approved as the low bidder for the $1.36 million Tiger Field project in August. The project will include upgrades to the football and soccer fields, resurfacing the walking track, improving and adding parking and sidewalks.
