Ware County High School celebrated “Recreation Night” in Memorial Stadium for last week’s Region 1-AAAAA opener against Groves. Players from the county program ran onto the field with the Gators and were treated to a 68-6 victory Friday, September 18. The win snapped a two-game losing streak for Ware, and the 68 points was a school record, topping the 67 scored in 1994 in a shutout against Brantley County. Story, more photos on Pages 8-9.
