OATH schedules fundraiser Oct. 17 OATH Recovery holds “A Night Without a Home” at 6 p.m., Saturday, October 17 in the C.C. McCray City Auditorium, 865 Pendleton Street.
The program is being staged to to raise awareness and critical funding for individuals and families experiencing homelessness, addiction, and housing instability in the community. Individual tickets are $50 with a table of eight for $360.
Sponsorships from $1,000 to $10,000 also are available, and donations are welcome. For tickets, a sponsorship or to make a donation, visit https://oath.funraise.org.

SFW holds vehicle, truck show, Oct. 10 Southern Forest World will hold a car and truck show at 8 a.m. Saturday, October 10 at the Okefenokee Fairgrounds, 2335 Knight Avenue.
Entry fee is $25 with all makes and models welcome. Vendor spots (10 foot by 10 foot) are available for $100.

WPD Faith & Blue event set Oct. 10 Waycross Police Department holds its annual Faith & Blue community clean-up and picnic from 9 a.m. to noon, Saturday, October 10 in Pernell Roberts Memorial Park, McDonald and Mary Streets.
The activity begins with a community-wide cleanup effort that culminates in a barbecue cookout with food and beverages at the shelter in the park. the local event is part of the 2026 National Faith & Blue observance.

MSH honors breast cancer survivors Memorial Satilla Health holds its annual Breast Cancer Awareness Month Survivor Reception at 6 p.m. Tuesday, October 6, in the Main Lobby, 1900 Tebeau Street.
The community is invited to join the hospital honoring breast cancer survivors, recognizing the strength of those still in treatment and celebrating the care teams, families, friends and loved ones who support them.

Blackshear Amvets fish fry set Sept. 26 Blackshear Amvets Post 1857 celebrates its first anniversary with a community fish fry at noon, Saturday, September 26 at the Blackshear Chamber of Commerce, 200 SW Central Avenue.
The post also is seeking women of all ages who are relatives of veterans to form a Ladies Auxiliary to support and enhance activities post throughout the year. A meeting will be held at 10 a.m. prior to the fish fry to learn more about the group.
