Cady
WAYCROSS — Mr. Albert Earl Cady, Sr., 94, of Waycross, died Saturday at the Hospice Satilla Hospice House after an extended illness.
He was born in Atkinson County to the late John B. Cady and Verdie Wilson Cady. He worked as an electrician for Kammerer Electric and was a member of the Savannah 508 Electrical Union.
Cady was a member of Open Door Baptist Church who enjoyed fishing in his spare time and cherished every moment he was able to spend with his grandchildren.
Along with his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife, Vannie Dubose Cady; two children, Albert Cady, Jr., and Deborah Waters; two brothers, James Cady and Alton Cady; and one sister, Evone Welch.
Cady is survived by five children, Freida Byrd of Waycross, Marie Musgrove and her husband, JV, of Waycross, Carolyn Heaton of Waycross, John H. Cady and his wife, Tina, of Waycross, and Michael Wayne Cady and his wife, Chrystal, of Waycross; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, greatgreat grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive.
A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. today (Wednesday, September 23) in the Miles-Odum Funeral Home Chapel. A burial will follow in Kettle Creek Cemetery.
The family will receive friends beginning at 9 a.m. today at the funeral home.
