Joyce Sapp Faulk, 79, of Blackshear went to be with the Lord Tuesday evening, September 15, 2026, at the Hospice Satilla Hospice House in Waycross, after an extended illness.
She was born in Blackshear to the late Hoke Smith
Faulk Sapp and Goldie Altman Sapp and made Blackshear her home for most of her life. She owned and operated Stylers Salon for many years and was a woman with a servant’s heart. She enjoyed gardening, going to the beach, crocheting, crafting, photography, traveling and most of all the time spent with her family. She was a member of Central Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Kenneth Cecil Faulk; a son, Laban Stacey Faulk; seven siblings, Juanita Jewel Sapp Dixon, Omer Vernon Sapp, Joseph Donald Sapp, infant sister, Mary Alice Sapp, Barney Sapp and an infant brother.
Survivors include her son, Eric Tyler Faulk, wife Cassandra, Fernandina Beach, Florida; three grandchildren, Laban Faulk, wife Brooke, Blackshear, Tyler Faulk, wife Abigail, Fernandina Beach, Florida, Jade Buchanan, husband Ethan, Waycross; three greatgrandchildren, Riley Brooke Faulk, Kace Buchanan and Katie Buchanan; three siblings, Waunell Sapp Hickox, Hoboken, Erma Jean Sapp Griner and Daniel Robert “D.R.” Sapp, wife Linda, both of Blackshear and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 19, from the Miles-Odum Funeral Home Chapel.
Interment followed in Oakland Cemetery in Waycross.
