BLACKSHEAR — Joyce Sapp Faulk, 79 of Blackshear, went to be with the Lord Tuesday evening, September 15, 2026 at the Hospice Satilla Hospice House after an extended illness.
Mrs. Faulk was born in Blackshear to the late Hoke Smith Sapp and Goldie Altman Sapp. She made Blackshear her home for most of her life.
Mrs. Faulk owned and operated Stylers Salon for many years and was a woman with a serv ant’s heart. She enjoyed gardening, going to the beach, croc heting, crafting, photography, traveling and most of all the time spent with her family.
Mrs. Faulk was a member of Central Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Faulk is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Kenneth Cecil Faulk; a son, Laban Stacey Faulk; seven siblings, Juanita Jewel Sapp Dixon, Omer Vernon Sapp, Joseph Donald Sapp, infant sister Mary Alice Sapp, Barney Sapp and an infant brother.
Mrs. Faulk is survived by her son, Eric Tyler Faulk, wife Cassandra, of Fernandina Beach, Fla.; three grandchildren, Laban Faulk, wife Brooke, of Blackshear, Tyler Faulk, wife Abigail, of Fernandina Beach, Fla., and Jade Buchanan, husband Ethan, of Waycross; three great grandchildren, Riley Brooke Faulk, Kace Buchanan and Katie Buchanan; three siblings, Waunell Sapp Hickox of Hoboken, Erma Jean Sapp Griner of Blackshear, and Daniel Robert “D.R.” Sapp, wife Linda, of Blackshear; numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
A funeral service was held Saturday morning, September 19, 2026 in the Miles-Odum Funeral Home Chapel. Burial followed in Oakland Cemetery.
The family would like to express their appreciation to Satilla Bluffs Senior Care for the exceptional care and support over the last few years.
