It is no secret that some of my most favorite birds to take pictures of are the Barred Owls.
I even have a few people who have let me come o n their property and get pictures after I promise not to tell where I took the photos.
I have also had people let me come on their property to take pictures of deer, fox, hawks and even a Bald Eagle one time.
I still think the Barred Owls are my favorites. They are somewhat predictable.
If you don’t spook them, they usually let you sort of chase them around while getting their pictures. As long as people are willing to let me come take the pictures, I am willing to come to go.
I always tell them I promise I will not tell where I am getting the photos from. Sometimes I have been lucky.
I’ve taken them for several days or even weeks. Sometimes it’s just a day or two.
I am not hard to find. With wildlife, nothing is guaranteed and I know that from many years of past experiences of trying to get them.
It takes a lot of patience. When they do show up, it makes it all worthwhile.
