Fowler
WAYCROSS — Gloria Aldridge Fowler, 87 of Waycross, died Thursday morning, September 10, 2026 at her residence after an extended illness.
Mrs. Fowler was born in Waycross to the late Berry Hansford Aldridge and Flor ence Daniels Aldridge. She made Waycross her home for most of her life.
Mrs. Fowler was an exceptional homemaker who enjoyed reading, playing piano and spending time in the scriptures. She loved her grandchildren and the time spent with them.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Fowler is preceded in death by her husband, Billy Stephen Fowler; two children, Ronald Gordon and Glenda Williams; a grandson, Tyler Griffis; and was the last of 13 siblings.
Mrs. Fowler is survived by four children, Gloria Griffis of Waycross, Winton Cox and wife Pamlea of Waycross, Bethlyn Norsworthy, and Mark Fowler and wife Pam of Brantley County; 11 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; six great-great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
A funeral service was held Tuesday, September 15, 2026 in the MilesOdum Funeral Home Chapel.
Burial followed in Oakland Cemetery.
