NAHUNTA – Anthony “Tony” Clayton “Chainsaw” Palmer, 72 of Nahunta, passed away Saturday morning, September 5, 2026 at his residence after an extended illness.
Born in Brunswick, Palmer’s parents were Lonnie Clayton Palmer and Reba Faye Brockington Palmer. He is also preceded in death by his wife, Tami Jean Tootle Palmer; a daughter, Melissa Jo Palmer; two sons, Stephen Wesley Landon and Charles Allen Miller; a granddaughter, Haley Elaine Miller; and a sister, Donna Faye Lambert.
Palmer was a truck driver who enjoyed riding motorcycles, hunting and fishing. He loved raising rabbits and chickens, gardening and canning.
Survivors include his daughter and son-in-law, Jessica Walker (Josh) of Nahunta; six grandchildren, Fischer, Jaden, Palmer, Bonnie, Wesley and Charleigh; two sisters, Debbie Dixon and Joy Conaway, both of Brunswick; two sisters-inlaw, Jan McCollum of South Carolina and Karen Head of Jesup; and also several nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends A memorial service was held Saturday, September 12, 2026 at Lulaton Baptist Church with Pastor Steve Beal and Bro. David Lambert officiating.
Arrangements were with Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta.
