BRUNSWICK — Brantley County High School AFJROTC cadet Emily Sawyer presents an unidentified retired NYPD officer, who experienced 9/11 events firsthand at ground zero, with a folded U.S. Flag following a ceremonial flag folding and presentation before Saturday morning’s, September 12 Ride to Remember 25th Anniversary 9/11 Memorial Motorcycle Ride. The presentation drew a deeply emotional response from both the recipient and the riders. Cadets conducted a color guard to open the pre-ride ceremony, followed by a performance by the Heron Rifles Silent Drill Team. Cadets Chloe Herrin and Sawyer performed the ceremonial flag folding and presentation. Finally, cadets saw all the riders off with a ceremonial sword arch as they departed the ceremony and began their memorial ride.
