BRUNSWICK — Bishop Hinton C. Johnson, age 93 of Brunswick went to be with the Lord September 1, 2026.
Johnson was an Ordained Bishop in the Church of God of Prophecy and had served as pastor in many churches during his time of ministry in Georgia as well as in other states. He completed high school and later obtained a diploma in the Bible Training Institute in Cleveland, Tenn..
Bishop Johnson is predeceased by his spouse of 75 years, Gracie Geraldine Mallard Johnson (September 6, 2025); his parents, Hansford and Markey Johnson; two brothers, Clayton Johnson and Starling Johnson; and a sister, Trellis Robinson.
Survivors are a sister, Bernice Priest of Brunswick; several nieces and nephews; sisters-inlaw Ivalene Miles, Julie Webster, Pat Branch, Opal Mallard, Becky Mallard and brother-in-law Roger (Sharon) Mallard.
Services will be held at Edo Miller Funeral Home Chapel in Brunswick with Pastor Chris Boyd officiating.
Honorary pallbearers will be Adam Cothern, Alton Roland and members of the Adult Sunday School Class, Sterling Church of God of Prophecy; staff of the Bayview Nursing and Rehab Community.

A private burial will be in the Palmetto Cemetery in Brunswick, GA.
Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
