Four Pierce County residents were among the more than 500 students named to Valdosta State University’s Summer 2026 Dean’s List.
Local students on the list are Lauren Edgar, Serena Hickox, Becky Thigpen and Angel Vargas Hernandez, all of Blackshear To qualify for Dean's List at VSU, students must achieve a semester grade point average of 3.50 or higher on nine or more semester hours with an institutional grade point average of 3.00 or higher. Please note that developmental studies, transient, and graduate students are not eligible for Dean’s List status.
College of Coastal Georgia The College of Coastal Georgia has announced those students who have earned their place on the president’s list by their high academic performance during the Summer 2026 semester.
The following students from Pierce County were named to the College of Coastal Georgia Summer 2026 President’s List: Rodrigo Alcaraz, Danielle Brooker, Patricia Minchew and Jaydon Morris.
To be qualify for the President’s List, a student must earn 12 or more credit hours (or six or more credit hours in summer) in courses at the 1000 level or above and achieve a term grade-point average of 4.0.
