The Satilla Riverkeeper held one of its four special paddle events for members recently at the 121 Landing in Pierce County. Membership paddles include learning about the area’s ecosystems and native wildlife, and are also a time for good conversation with new friends. For more information about the important work the Satilla Riverkeeper does throughout the year or to become a Satilla Riverkeeper member, visit satillariverkeeper.org. To book a tour in the Okefenokee Swamp or on the Satilla River with Okefenokee & Satilla Expeditions, visit www.okefenokee-satilla.com. Shown above (l-r) naturalist Jenny Sweat, owner/operator of Okefenokee & Satilla Expeditions and “Boatdock” Bill Davis take in the beauty of their surroundings during Saturday’s serene morning paddle.
