Braddy
WAYCROSS — Mrs. Mary Frances Braddy, 84, passed away Saturday afternoon, September 5, 2026, at Hospice House Satilla.
She was born February 16, 1942 in Lax, Ga., to the late Alf red Jones and Maggie Cato Jones. She was formerly employed by Walmart, and she was affiliated with the Baptist faith.
Mrs. Braddy was a selfless, caring person who always put others before herself. She was a “gogetter,” and she always enjoyed feeding those who visited her.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her grandson, SSgt John William Braddy; and her siblings, Jean Wright, Verdie Johns, Billy Jones, Wendell Jones, Warren Jones, Bobby Jones, and Jan Jones.
Survivors include her husband of 57 years, John Staten Braddy of Waycross; two sons, Jeff Simon Braddy (Keri) of Waycross, and James Seaborn Braddy of Waycross; grandsons, Jeff Simon Braddy, Jr. (Crystal) and James Seaborn “Staten” Braddy, Jr.; great grandchildren, Dayton James Braddy, Jenny Elizabeth Braddy, Shelby Lynn Braddy, and Cannon John Braddy; one sister, Ann Hartline; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. today (Wednesday, September 9) at the Music Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Oakland Cemetery.
The family will receive friends beginning at 10 a.m. today at the funeral home.
