Three Ware County High School 4-H members were recognized this summer at the annual 4H State Congress in Atlanta.
Greyson Christmas and Camdyn Thornton were recognized as members of the state winning Precision Air Rifle Team, and Gabrielle Howard was recognized as the state high individual for Precision Air Rifle.
Christmas also was seated on the Georgia 4-H Board of Directors.
Georgia 4-H recognized excellence in youth participants, adult leaders, and program supporters during the annual conference.
The week-long event for top 4-H’ers in Georgia includes the state-level Project Achievement and Leadership in Action contests for youth.
More than 200 youth delegates competed in 53 Project Achievement areas, with the highestscoring competitor in each area receiving Master 4H’er status as a state winner.
Project Achievement is a core Georgia 4-H program element, empowering young people with leadership, creativity, public speaking, and record keeping skills that will last a lifetime.
