The Patterson Police Department and Pierce County Sheriff’s Office is investigating an incident that occurred at about 6 a.m. Monday, August 31 at the Neighborhood Grocery, U.S. Highway 84 and Tyre Bridge Road, Patterson.
Patterson Police Chief Nick Strickland confirmed there is an active investigation at the store, but declined additional comment. The Pierce County Sheriff’s Office’s Aggressive Criminal Enforcement (ACE) Unit is assisting with the investigation.
He did offer assurances there is no ongoing threat to the community.
