Willie Wilson denied parole in 1981 Bristol murders

Convicted killer Willie James Wilson was denied parole this year, but his case will be up for review again in April, 2027.

Steve Hayes, Director of Communications for the Georgia State Board of Pardons and Paroles, confirmed to The Times Wilson’s request for parole was denied earlier this spring. It was the fourth time his request for parole has been denied.

Wilson, 70, is currently serving a life sentence for the June, 1981 murders of Alfred Boatright, 64, and Morris Highsmith, 58. Wilson shot both men during a robbery at Boatright’s store on Georgia Highway 15/121 on the outskirts of Bristol. He reportedly stole $90 in the robbery.
