DOUGLAS — Pierce County Middle School’s crosscountry teams recorded a runner-up and fourth-place finish here Saturday at the fourth annual Blake Smith Invitational.
The Bears placed second in the 10-team boys meet August 29 hosted by Coffee Middle School. Atkinson County Middle School led the way finishing with 44 points with PCHS second totaling 64 points.
The two teams were followed by Wayne County Middle School (77), Tift Middle School (104), Berrien Middle School (128), Telfair County Middle School (170), Irwin County Middle School (171), Ben-Hill Middle School of Fitzgerald (193), host Coffee Middle (226) and Wilcox County Middle School (303).
