Red Cross blood drive to be held at NFC building Sept. 8

The Red Cross will hold a blood drive 1 p.m.-6. p.m. September 8 at the NFC building on College Avenue in Blackshear.

The Red Cross and Hello Kitty and Friends are partnering in September to remind donors that comfort and care are always better when shared. Just one blood donation can help more than one patient enjoy a happier future.

Thanks to the generosity of thousands of donors who rolled up a sleeve this summer, the blood supply continues to recover from critically low levels but as September begins, the blood supply still remains vulnerable, especially as seasonal challenges such as back-to-school activities can cause donors to be less available to give.
