WAYCROSS — Mrs. Edith Lavinia Roberts, 81, passed away Saturday, August 22, 2026, at Hospice House Satilla following an extended illness.
Mrs. Roberts was born in Waycross to the late Floyd Aldridge and Stella Strickland Aldridge. She graduated from Hoboken High School and later worked for several years with PCA National in Houston, Texas.
Mrs. Roberts eventually started her own freight brokerage business with her husband, Space City Transport. Later in life, she became a CNA and worked with Easter Seals.
Following her retirement, Mrs. Roberts enjoyed spending most of her time caring for and enjoying the companionship of her beloved dogs, Xcy and Bozzy, who were a very special part of her life.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Roberts was preceded in death by her son, Carlos Lee Roberts.
She is survived by her daughter, Kelley Roberts of Waycross; her beloved dogs, Xcy and Bozzy; and her sister, Linda Harris of Waycross.
Mrs. Roberts’ wishes were to be cremated.
Music Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
