Storey returns home as chief exec of WWCC

Waycross native Jami-Marie Storey has been named President/ Chief Executive Officer of the Waycross-Ware County Chamber of Commerce, the organization said in a social media post last week.

She replaces Suzanne Woodard, who resigned last month to pursue a new professional opportunity, the chamber’s executive board said in a post. Woodard had held the post since May 23, 2025.

Storey lived in Waycross for 13 years before moving to Savannah and later Washington, D.C., where she accumulated valuable cross-sector experience and advanced her career. Storey holds a Bachelor of Science in public relations from Georgia Southern.
