DC Downtown has food ministry DC Downtown Food Ministry offers food items from a 5,000-square foot warehouse at 201 Jenkins Street from 4 to 6 p.m. on Tuesday and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday.
The ministry serves people in more than a dozen counties Georgia and Florida.
Way of Cross EPC has food giveaway Way of the Cross EPC holds a free food and clothing giveaway at 8 a.m. the first Saturday of each month at 512 Lee Avenue.

Wheelchair sought for disabled man Peter Feed My Sheep outreach ministry is seeking the donation of a wheelchair or funds to purchase one for a disabled senior citizen living on his own.
Organization operator Marilyn Joyner said the man’s current wheelchair no longer is operational. A motorized version would be ideal since it would allow him total independence to cover longer distances, she said.
However, a traditional one will work in the short term in order to maintain some independence. Anyone with a chair, or funds to donate toward a motorized version, may contact Joyner at (912) 614-3724.
Donations can be mailed to 613 Sweat Street, Waycross, 31501 with the designation “wheelchair.” The ministry also accepts the Cash App, $peterfeed mysheep.
