Huddle House partners with Pierce County Schools
Huddle House in Blackshear is partnering with the Pierce County Bear Games (formerly Special Olympics) this year.
Timothy Griffis with Blackshear Huddle House recently reached out to Sarah McIntosh, Director of Student Services for Pierce County Schools, offering to partner with Pierce County Bear Games.
Each Monday in September, Blackshear Huddle House will be donating a percentage of their sales to help sponsor this year's Bear Games held annually in November.
“I am so thankful for this partnership and all other community support. Every dollar is given back to our exceptional athletes with physical and intellectual disabilities,” said Ella Teston, organizer of the Bear games.
Teston also said that other volunteer and fund raising opportunities are available.
“Those who would like to support Bear Games in addition to the Huddle House sales, are always welcome to contact me at [email protected] or through Patterson Elementary School,” she said.
