Brantley County’s unbeaten start to the 2026 softball season ended with a split of home games against Ware County and state-ranked Bacon County.
The Lady Herons (3-1), who started the first week of of the season ranked 10th in Class AAA, began the the second week of the season completing the series sweep of the visiting Lady Gators (2-5) winning 11-7 Monday, August 17. BCHS won the August 10 meeting at Ware County 10-2.
Class AA fourth-ranked Bacon County scored seven runs in the eighth inning pulling away from a 3all tie to beat Brantley County 10-3 Thursday, August 20.
