Larry Ronald Lee Sr., 78, passed away peacefully at his home Saturday morning, August 22, 2026, surrounded by his family.

He was born on April 28, 1948, in Brantley County to Henry and Thelma Lee. He spent his adult life in Hoboken and Blackshear, where he became a well-known and respected cabinet and furniture craftsman throughout Pierce County and the surrounding area. He was a quiet, soft-spoken man who believed you should let your walking do your talking. He lived that belief every day-not through many words, but through the way he worked, loved his family, served others and lived his faith.

He became a member of High Bluff Primitive Baptist church in 1969 where he served faithfully for 57 years. His faith was an important part of who he was and how he lived his life.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Thelma Lee; five siblings, Evon Woodard (Lawrence), Billy Lee (Patsy), Wayne Lee, Ann Lee and Shirlene Banks (Jerry); four brothers-in-law and three sisters-in-law, Ronald Drawdy, Richard and Virginia Robinson, Edward and Lois Drawdy, Bill Loudermilk and Nola Mae Carter.

He leaves behind his wife of 57 years, Glenda Drawdy Lee; two sons, Ron Lee, Waycross and Leslie Lee (Gail), Blackshear; and six grandchildren, Logan Lee (Samatha), Jacksonville, Kalynne Hiers (Caleb), Blackshear, Gracie McDaniel (Kameron), Augusta, Spencer Lee, Athens, Zach Lee and Maegan Lee, both of Blackshear.

One of his greatest joys was his family, and he was especially blessed by his four great-grandchildren: Rowen Hiers, Ridge Hiers and Rhett Hiers, all of Blackshear, and Zeke Lee, Jacksonville.

He is also survived by four siblings: his twin brother Harry Lee (Vanessa), Hoboken, Nell Giddens, Millwood, George Lee, Sale City and Mike Lee, Leesburg; four sisters-in-law, Joan Lee (Jimmy), Hoboken, Ellie Loudermilk, Perry, Linda Hayden (Lee), Griffin, Beverly Drawdy, Tennessee and three brothers-in-law, Daniel Drawdy (Gloria), Roger Carter and Joseph “Joe” Drawdy (Karen), all of Blackshear. He also leaves behind many special nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Sunday, August 23, at the funeral home.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, August 24, from the High Bluff Primitive Baptist Church in Brantley County with Elder Daniel Drawdy and Elder Eddie Lee officiating.

Interment will follow in the High Bluff Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Benjamin Crews, Jesse Crews, Carey Lee, Kade Rowell, Matthew Lee and Greg Lee.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that donations be made to Affinis Hospice Care through Community Health Foundation, 1005 Boulder Drive, Gray, GA 31031. Please make checks payable to Community Health Foundations and note that the donation is designated for Affinis Hospice.
