Bagley
BICKLEY — Mrs. Cornelia Smith Bagley, 82, passed away Wednesday afternoon, August 12, 2026, at her daughter’s residence in Bickley.
She was born January 22, 1944 in Ware County to the late Franklin L. Smith and Lucile Buckley Smith. Mrs. Bagley graduated from Ware County High School, and she was formerly employed by Alice Street Elementary School as a dietician. She was a member of Victory Chapel Baptist Church. She loved her church, her grandchildren, sewing, reading Amish books, and her dog.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Bagley; and three sisters, Elon Gillis Galloway, Patricia Carter, and Maxine Taylor.
Survivors include her son, Chris Bagley of Waycross; her daughter, Kim Rice (Bill) of Bickley; grandchildren, Bonnie Bagley, Kayla Gardner (Adrien), Shea Bagley (Amber), Jeremy Bagley (Sam), Sadie Bagley (Dean), Jessica Corbitt (Cole), and Jacob Rice (Alyssa); 13 great grandchildren; her brother, Joel Smith (Cathy) of Waycross; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A funeral service was held August 17 at Victory Chapel Baptist Church. Burial followed in Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery.
