The Exchange Club of Waycross recently welcomed the Lady Gators head coach Rebecca Kirkland as its guest speaker, giving members an opportunity to hear about Ware County athletics, the Lady Gators softball program, and the importance of investing in young people both on and off the field.
Kirkland has spent more than 20 years helping shape student-athletes through hard work, discipline, teamwork, and a commitment to excellence.
During her visit, Kirkland shared with Exchange Club members about the softball program and the dedication it takes from players, coaches, families, and the community to build a successful athletic program. Her work extends beyond wins and losses, with an emphasis on helping young athletes grow in confidence, character, and leadership.
Kirkland and her coaching staff also continue to invest in the future of Ware County athletics by working with younger players in the community, helping develop their skills and encouraging the next generation of Lady Gators.
The Exchange Club of Waycross was proud to welcome coach Kirkland and appreciates her dedication to WCHS, its student- athletes, and the Waycross-Ware County community.
