As next week’s monthly Waycross community blood drive nears, the American Red Cross is urging the public to strike a blow against the national blood shortage.
The Monday, August 24 drive will be from 10 a.m. through 4 p.m. at the Waycross Exchange Club Fairgrounds, 2401 Knight Avenue.
It’s being sponsored by Miles-Odum Funeral Home and Runway One Nine Aviation. The sponsors are providing cash door prizes for donors to be won at random.
