Waycross resident and agriculture and land finance expert Dan Good has joined Jon Kohler & Associates, the firm recently announced.

The group is a top land brokerage specializing in plantations, ranches, timberland, and recreational properties across the Southeast.

Good joins the firm’s sale team after a 30-year career in agricultural finance. A native of Statesboro, Georgia, Good brings a deep-rooted understanding of farm operations, timberland investments, and rural real estate transactions across South Georgia.

“Dan’s vast background in agricultural finance, paired with his lifelong dedication to land stewardship, makes him an invaluable asset to our firm and our clients,” said Jon Kohler, the company’s founder.

In his new role, Good will leverage his financial expertise and intimate knowledge of rural land to assist buyers and sellers throughout South Georgia with agricultural, timberland, and recreational property acquisitions, the firm said.

“Joining Jon Kohler & Associates allows me to blend my passion for rural land with 30 years of hands-on financial experience,” Good said. “Whether helping a family purchase their first farm, an investor acquire productive timberland, or a sportsman find the perfect recreational tract, it’s a privilege to guide clients in achieving their goals while honoring the legacy of the land.”

Good spent the majority of his career with AgSouth Farm Credit, joining the organization in 1996 and ultimately serving as Regional Vice President prior to his retirement from banking in 2025.

He holds a B.B.A. in Finance from Mercer University, an MBA from Georgia Southern University, and is a graduate of the University of Georgia Banking School.
