WAYNESVILLE — Waynesville Missionary Baptist Church and Bro. Trey Keene will be hosting a CommUNITY service Sunday, August 30, 2026 at 6 p.m.

19th Annual Cord of Three golf tournament is Sat., Sept. 19
BLACKSHEAR — Cord of Three Counseling Services will hold its annual four-ball fundraising tournament Saturday, September 19 at Lakeview Golf Club.
The cost to play in the four-man scramble is $125 per player or $500 per team. It includes breakfast, lunch, contests, prizes, and fellowship while raising funds to provide Christ-centered counseling and support for individuals and families throughout our region.
Registration and breakfast begins at 7:30 a.m., with a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m. Lunch, awards and prize presentations begin at 12:30 p.m.

LSW’s annual Fall vendor bazaar is Saturday, Sept. 26
WAYCROSS — Laura S. Walker State Park, 5653 Laura Walker Road, holds is annual Fall Food Truck & Vendor Bazaar from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Saturday, September 26.
A variety of food, beverages, crafts, art and other items will be available from a host of vendors. Parks is $10 per car unless you have a state park pass.
The Lakes is holding a glow ball night golf tourney Friday, Oct. 16
WAYCROSS — The Lakes at Laura S. Walker State Park, 5653 Laura Walker Road, is holding a night golf tournament at 7 p.m., Friday, October 16.
Entry fee for the 9-hole, two-man tournament is $50 per team with a limit of 18 teams for the shotgun start. Prizes will be given to the top three finishers of $100, $50 and $25 per player.

Vets informational forum in Blackshear is Friday, October 30
BLACKSHEAR — Amvets Post 1857 and the Georgia Department of Veterans Services will hold a free information session for veterans from 9 a.m. to noon, Friday, October 30 at the NFC Gym, 705 College Avenue, Blackshear.
Topics discussed will be disability ratings, understanding secondary conditions, VA and Medicare coordination, spousal benefits, and VA community care eligibility amon others.
