HORTENSE — Bobby Wayne Clark, 56 of Hortense, passed away Monday, August 10, 2026.
The Brunswick native had lived in Brantley County all of his life and was a Christian. He enjoyed shrimping, fishing in the creek and hanging
out with his best friend and son-in-love, Tommy. Clark had a great ability to fix, build or create just anything like a true “Mac-Gyver”.
His father, Nephi Jenson Clark, preceded him in death.
Survivors are his wife, Candi Pearce Clark of Hortense; three daughters, Sara (A.J.) Mitchell, Courtney (Thomas) Head and Kristin (William, Jr.) Lolies, all of Hortense; a son, Richard Smith, Jr. of Hortense; grandchildren, Georgia, William, Amelia, Sadie, Amyiah, Riley, Payton, Jordynn and Richie; his mother, Sue Clark of Hortense; and sisters, Tina Clark and Alizay Burgess, both of Hortense; a brother, Shawn Norton, Jr. of Hortense.
Private memorial services will be held by the family.
Rinehart and Sons Funeral Home of Jesup is in charge of arrangements.
